This is Joe Cross' Mean Green with a twist.
I used:
1 bunch of spinach (2 plants without roots as pictured above)
1 cucumber
4 stalks of celery
2 green apples
1 lime
1 thumb size chunk of ginger
And it is delicious.
What variation of Joe's drink do you like best?
Hi! I have been following your blog and I love it! My family and I are from the states. We are missionaries currently serving in South Africa doing humanitarian aid and medical missions with Campus Crusade for Christ. I am on a 40 day juice fast as well, though I started a little later than you and will end it on Good Friday. Without your awesome juice posts I would be lost, your recipes are the best! Sharing in your journey through your blog is incredibly helpful. I'm so thankful God lead you to a juice fast at the same time as myself- you and what you share are now part of my journey too. Thank you for making this blog and sharing what you are, again, it is super helpful to me! Anyhoo, I just wanted to encourage you that you are impacting more people than you probably know, including myself. Cheering you on! Thanks again!

Katie!!! It's so good to hear from you! Wow. Thank you SO much for your comment. I am so very happy to hear that you too started on this journey and I am thrilled that you find my blog even remotely interesting!!! You don't know how flattered I am!!!
DeleteWhat sorts of fruits and vegetables do you find yourself juicing most? And missionary work in South Africa!?!? What an amazing experience!!! How long have you been there? And how much longer will you be there?
Again, thank you so much for your comment and support. I am beyond flattered!
I enjoy the original man green straight up. Who would have thought I enjoy Kale so much? I use curly kale, spinach, cucumber, lemon, 2 green apples and 2 -4 stalks of celery. I omit the ginger because I don't really care for the taste. Mean Green is my favorite juice of them all. I really want to try one with grapes and Kale but grapes are super expensive in our area right now. I thought a grape Kale mix would be great in the morning!
